Hello, Torn Lace was the s**t. I found this site because I have one of their songs stuck in my head this a.m. "What you need... is professional help!"
Funnnnny song, and am Goo-Goo-Googlin' trying to find a recording of it so my band can learn/play it. NOOO sign of them tho' on the net or otherwise...
I last saw them playing @ Dubs in Gainesville FL.
Good Group.

cheers!

Thanks, Super Jew... It was cathartic for me to finally be able to talk about some the crap that went down during those three years.

However, in our office version of Musical Chairs, you were the second person in that seat after said marketing rep moved on.

But yes, it was definitely a corner that wasn't dull! :-)

Great post! I want to see more content from you as well. And to think this "newer employee" eventually took over the desk mantle from that marketing rep makes it all the more relevant for me. We had a nice, little corner there for a while.

Yes... That was the girl I was referring to, although I couldn't remember her name.

Oh, I think it is a good idea for teenage mothers to share the spotlight, and sometimes they do. I just couldn't believe all this talk about a 13-year-old boy getting a girl pregnant when... HELLO?... 13-year-old girls are getting pregnant EVERY DAY!

7th grade girl -- Are you referring to Katherine M., the girl my mom had to explain the birds and bees to? I remember that. Course, finding out where babies came from didn't really solve all her problems, as I believe she had at least one (maybe two) more of them before 12th grade. This is going to be an unpopular opinion in today's liberal world but would expressions of disapproval, disappointment and some negative consequences be such a bad thing for these pregnant teenage girls? I don't care who you are, getting pregnant while you are in high school (or earlier!) is a mistake and NOT something to celebrate. There are a bunch of ways to avoid pregnancy, most of them openly discussed and available. Which makes me think that a lot of these girls get pregnant on purpose. Or just don't think about it much beforehand. Not worrying about consequences is sort of an epidemic these days, for everybody.
