This Is December, Right?

Standard

Because there’s a severe thunderstorm warning in the county next to the one I live in, meaning the storm is most likely headed this way.

Just two weeks ago, we were preparing for an ice storm.

Go figure.

  1. I liked the movie, but it definitely doesn’t live up to the book. Really, I was interested in seeing the movie, but I totally fell over myself when I saw that Simon was in it (who, by the way, they changed to age 35–they probably figured that even though Michelle Trachtenberg was playing a 23-year-old, viewers would be creeped out by the 19-year-old dating a 40-something). I liked it, but I liked it as far as Lifetime Original movies go. Again, the people probably swayed me. I missed the first half hour, though. If I hear it will be on again, I’ll let you know. Lifetime was doing a “Best Lifetime Original Movies of 2005,” and it was #8. I want to see it in its entirety. Possibly tape it an analyze it or drool over the not proper Simon (though I did miss the character of the book because he wasn’t as Kilroy-esque as I’d hoped). Anyway, I’m now ready to reread the book. Yay. One good reason to go back to Boston!

  2. For those reading these comments, Courtney is referring to a comment I made on her site about The Dive From Clausen’s Pier TV movie. πŸ™‚

Yeah, I’d like to see Simon (Sean Mayer) in a different role, although my favorite male on Firefly was Mal (Nathan Fillon)… mwraawwr πŸ˜‰

  3. No kidding. We had an ice storm here in the Dallas area a few weeks ago and now we’re dealing with 70 degree weather. It’s unnatural! Yes, even for Dallas! Want cold back!

  4. We’ve had lows in the lower 40s and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. I don’t complain too much about that. I can wear my winter stuff, and my heater doesn’t run all day! πŸ˜€
